The HPLDD1540 is a High Power Laser Diode Driver functioning as a step-down converter. Due to its many safety features, the possibility of harming the diode and/or the driver itself is minimized. With an extremely high resolution of 1 mA for the current setpoint, along with your external PID, you can achieve outstanding power stability for your laser.
